Mumford & Wood says it has achieved full compliance with the new tougher Part L regulations, scheduled to come into force on October 1.

The company said its entire Conservation range of sliding sashes, casements, French doorsets and entrance doors now meet the lower U-value of 1.6W/m2k for replacement units.

It believes the new Part L (energy efficiency) will have a significant impact on the fenestration industry.

Mumford & Wood’s standard Conservation ECO casement has an energy rating of B, with an overall frame U-value of 1.4W/m2k, which satisfies casements targets set for 2013.

It says ECO spec A-rating casements and sashes already meet 2016 U-value targets.
