Martin Moran, purchasing manager of builders merchant MP Moran, and Eoghan Cronin, branch manager of the company’s Willesden branch, have raised £10,000 for a young girl who needs surgery in the US to enable her to walk.

The two men raised the funds by running 20km from the houses of Parliament to Harrow.

Keira Power, who suffers from spastic quadriplegia, a form of cerebral palsy, needs to raise £45,000 for her operation.

“We are eternally grateful for all of the generosity of the customers, suppliers and friends of ours who have contributed and it is a great feeling that we have managed to help this lovely girl,” said Mr Moran.

Anyone who wishes to help Keira and her family can do so by visiting her website www.keiraswish.org.
