Minister for local government and the regions Nick Raynsford sees timber frame as a key tool for meeting UK housing and environmental needs.
In a letter to the UK Timber Frame Association he said: ‘Timber frame is contributing to the drive to provide people with good, modern homes of proven sustainable and efficient construction. It also serves a major role in meeting the government’s aim of reducing CO2 emissions. It is essential that the construction industry is kept fully informed about the construction options and respective benefits.’
