Metso Panelboard has won orders to the tune of e30m to supply a MDF/HDF production line to China and panelboard equipment to Sweden.
The delivery to Guangxi Sunway Forest Products Industry Co Ltd in China includes wood handling equipment, a Defibrator system, fibre drying, forming and pre-press line, panel handling equipment and an energy plant. The panel handling equipment includes the first Lukki intermediate storage system delivered to China.
Metso Panelboard will also supply process automation for the line due to be in production by the end of 2003. Once fully operational, the line will produce 700m3/day of HDF or 800m3/day of MDF.
This is Metso’s fourth delivery to Sunway – it has previously provided a particleboard line, MDF line and Defibrator system.
Metso’s order from Sweden comprises a dryer and screening plant for IKEA-owned Swedspan AB at Hultsfred. It follows a previous order in May for a production line.
The orders are part of the company’s investment to rebuild an old production line which is due to be operational in the middle of 2003.
