Sheet materials production technology specialist Metso Panelboard is streamlining operations in Germany and Finland.
The company is bringing together its press and energy division’s operations in Hannover.
“This will simplify our organisational structure,” said the company, stressing though that the move will not affect its “commitment to further develop the Metso Contipress”.
In Finland, Metso Panelboard is planning to bring its particleboard and OSB divisions together in Nastola, where it has already installed its pilot plant and management.
The company said that the latest changes have been carefully planned and will not adversely affect customer service.
At the time of going to press, there was no information on the impact of the moves on employment.
