Conservative MP Nicholas Soames has visited the Burgess Hill branch of Covers, which enlisted the politician’s support for the Get Britain Building campaign.
Mr Soames, the MP for Mid Sussex, spoke to depot manager Terry Lace, as well as Rupert Green, Covers financial director, and Henry Green, commercial director.
Mr Lace said cutting VAT to 5% for all building repair and maintenance work – a key demand in the Get Britain Building Campaign – would help generate business for everyone in the construction industry.
