MDF shipments hit record high

Compared with 2005 MDF shipments increased 203 million ft² in 2006, with the US accounting for all but the 2 million ft² shipped from Canada. US MDF accounted for 1.9 billion ft² of the total in 2006.

Particleboard shipments rose marginally over 2005 last year to 5.3 billion ft², still below the previous record of 5.7 billion ft² in 2000.
