MBA Computing, supplier of CAD solutions to the building and construction industry, has changed its name to Consultec Ltd in what is being described as a “new era” for the company.
The Hampshire-based company, part of listed building systems and software group Eleco, has changed its name to reflect the close working relationship it has developed with Eleco’s Swedish software subsidiary Consultec AB, which supplies estimating, design, on-site management and timber engineering software.
Consultec Ltd’s new managing director Jason Ruddle said: “My objective is to develop Consultec Ltd into a major provider of software and related services to the UK construction industry.”

Consultec Ltd’s products will include StairCon, a design, visualisation and planning package for standard and bespoke wooden staircases, BidCon estimation software and PlanCon, a project planning tool.
