Granwax Products Ltd‘s MasterFinish floor coating has been used to restore a 19th century church’s oak floor.
Contractor AMP Flooring used the coating at the Sacred Heart Church in Wimbledon when it was called in to renovate the church’s floor, which was installed in 1963.
According to AMP, the floor was in a “sorry state of repair” as it had not been sanded or sealed since it was installed, and required a finish that would “put up with the punishment a floor in this situation takes”.
Granwax said MasterFinish was the ideal choice for the church as it offers a “non-hazardous” finish and offers low odour, low emissions and improved levelling capabilities.
“[It] has the strength to put up with the punishment a floor in this situation takes,” said AMP’s Andy Pool.
“We have used MasterFinish on many occasions because of its excellent wear and traction capabilities.”
