An OSB plant operated by Masisa in Brazil has gained certification to ship products to the US.
The Ponta Grossa plant has been certified by US-based TECO and will sell its excess production to the US.
The US market is importing increasing volumes of OSB, with official statistics showing 7.2million m3 was imported during 2001 – a jump of 35% since 1997.
