Marlows Timber Engineering has been awarded chain of custody accreditation by BM TRADA for five forest certification schemes.

The company has been certified as complying with the Forest Stewardship Council, the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification, the Sustainable Forest Initiative, the Canadian Standards Association and the Malaysian Timber Certification Council schemes.

General manager Roger Smith said: “As a manufacturer of timber framed housing and other structural timber components, we see considerable industry pressure to satisfy audit organisations like EcoHomes and the government requirement for timber from legal and sustainable sources.

“We source materials from suppliers using all five certification schemes and incorporate these in our manufactured products.”
