The Group already has five Howarth Timber Engineering operation and they and the Marlows business will be restyled as Howarth Timber Engineering Ltd.
Both businesses have been in timber engineering for 30 years, with involvement in trussed rafters, I-beam floors, floor and roof cassettes, spandrel panels and timber frame.
According to Howarth Timber Group managing director Nicholas Howarth, the restructuring will not involve job losses.
“We intend to continue our development and expansion plan, which will create additional opportunities for our team,” he said.
He added that the new combined operation would be in a position to “co-ordinate a national strategy for developing business”.
Nicholas and Andrew Howarth will head the Howarth Timber Engineering Ltd board as joint non executive chairmen. Roger Smith will be managing director and Eddie Robinson commercial director.
