The finished foils and printed paper business division of Perstorp Surface Materials has adopted a new name and a new logo.

On January 1 it became Unidur, and the company is embarking on a marketing campaign to promote its new identity which includes a new logo and the strapline ‘Design & Surface Solutions’.

The name Unidur is not new to the market – until 1999 Unidur was part of the Perstorp Surface Materials name and is known throughout global furniture markets. The decision to rename the company follows the acquisition of Perstorp Surface Materials by the Formica Corporation last year.

The company sees the name change as a positive move forward which will enhance its corporate identity and allow it to focus on its strengths – design and printing.

Managing director Jörg Karlsson said: ‘With the launch of our ultra light weight foil and edgebanding programme, Unidur offers a complete product portfolio for the furniture industry.

‘We intend to build on these key strengths as a supplier providing integrated solutions and also strategically target the flooring market with the same focus and energy.’

UK customers are being informed of the change on a one-to-one basis.
