Malaysian timber exporters and UK importers will discuss difficult trading conditions at a meeting in London this week.
The meeting has been jointly organised by the London Hardwood Club and The Timber Trade Federation (TTF) following a request from the Timber Exporters’ Association of Malaysia to meet both organisations’ members.
“The purpose of the meeting is to openly discuss the difficult trading conditions facing both Malaysian exporters and UK importers,” said a club spokesperson. “It is a fact- finding mission to better understand the problems we are all encountering.”
The Malaysian delegation, which will include a representative of the Malaysian Timber Industry Board, will meet traders at the TTF offices at the Building Centre on April 2 at 10.30am.
