Mohd Said’s statement follows press reports that an MP attempted to interfere with the work of Malacca Customs, which had seized a consignment of sawn timber from Indonesia because it exceeded quotas allowed by the Malaysian Timber Council.

He told the press he ran forwarding agency Binyu Sof Enterprise at the ports of Sungai Rambai and Kuala Linggi.

The government has said it would investigate the matter if an official complaint is made against Mr Said.
