Malaysia’s 14 states all now conform to government forestry certifications, the country’s primary industries minister has announced.
The last three states, Pahang, Selangor and Terengganu, were recently assessed and now comply with national guidelines on sustainable forestry management and development.
Malaysia becomes the sixth tropical timber exporter to conform to the requirements of the International Tropical Timber Organisation.
