Construction work has started on Arnold Laver Timber World’s new national production centre in Halfway, Sheffield.

The £7m transformation of the 16-acre site will take six months and create 76 new jobs.

It will incorporate a call collect centre, a design engineering production facility and building production centre, a sheet material processing unit and a treatment plant.

Group director Andrew Laver said: ‘We see the start of works as a major landmark in the company’s history.’
