Lathams Direct Timber (LDT) has been appointed as the main distributor of Weyerhaeuser’s hardwood Lyptus decking.
The distribution agreement has been finalised to coincide with the decking buying season, with LDT planning to hold significant volumes for immediate distribution.
LDT described Lyptus, plantation-grown eucaltypus from Brazil, as a good complement to its existing certified South-east Asian hardwood decking.
LDT assumes responsibility for relationships with the existing stockists – Buildbase and Hoppings.
Woodlink, which has worked with Weyerhaeuser to develop the UK market for PEFC-certified Lyptus, remains UK importer of the product.
Weyerhaeuser has high expectations of the number stockists growing now LDT network can access the product.
