Weyerhaeuser has delivered its first shipment of Lyptus plantation-grown hardwood lumber to Ireland, through distributors D Kantor and Heiton/Buckley (Morgan Timber).
“The first delivery of Lyptus to Ireland is another positive step forward for Weyerhaeuser in Europe,” said Weyerhaeuser commercial director John Guerin.
“Having worked hard to develop a sustainable and guaranteed supply of Lyptus, the priority now is to support our distributor partners by making stock readily available on the ground – which this first shipment puts us well on the way to achieving.”
The Lyptus range, aimed at high-quality applications such as interior joinery, shopfitting, refurbishment work and cabinet making, is supplied to Ireland through Dublin-based LH Kennedy Ltd.
