Louisiana-Pacific’s new OSB mill in Clarke County, Alabama has received its first deliveries of wood and is expected to start production in the new year.
A small ceremony was held at the US$230m plant by management and other employees to mark the occasion.
The factory will have an annual OSB capacity of more than 700 million m² and around 130 staff.
LP believes the facility is key to maintaining the company’s position in the structural panels industry.
