Louisiana Pacific Corporation (LP) has completed the sale of its 65% ownership of LP Coillte Ireland to the state forest industry Coillte for an undisclosed sum.
Keith Matheney, vice-president of OSB and engineered wood products for LP, said: ‘LP’s investment in Ireland was to be the first of several to build a position in Europe. We have not found expansion in Europe to be attractive for us, so we have taken this step.
‘We will focus primarily on North American building products where we have our primary investments.’
