Lingui has 35,000ha of pine plantation in New Zealand. It plans to build a timber-processing plant in the next two to three years.

The company also plans to use its forest management certification, awarded by the Malaysian Timber Certification Council, to enter new markets and make inroads into the US, British and European markets.

About 95% of the group’s plywood products are exported, principally to markets in the US, Europe, Japan and South Korea.
