The Liberia Timber Association (LTA) says it is “taken aback” that the US and UN have endorsed a recommendation to cancel all timber concessions in the west African country.
The LTA says endorsing the Forest Review Committee’s recommendations would put pressure on the Liberian government to cancel timber concessions, which would “victimise” the timber industry.
