Mr Milligan joined CD Monninger, then Leitz’s sole UK agent, in 1979 as managing director. When Leitz expanded its sales network throughout western Europe it acquired Monninger in 1982.
Mr Milligan was the driving force behind Leitz UK from its conception. He moved the company from Tottenham to purpose-built premises in Harlow and today the company has around 60 employees and eight service centres.
He will retain a consultancy role with the company.
