Sir Jeremy Jones will compere this year’s Wood Awards presentations at the Carpenters’ Hall in London.

Sir Jeremy is a previous Awards winner and described it as a privilege to return to the event on October 21 as host.

“There are some truly outstanding projects in the shortlist which reflects the high level of skill and craftsmanship of British architects and furniture makers,” he said. “As a previous winner I am a huge supporter of the Wood Awards and the role it plays in the promotion of wood in all areas of design and architecture.”

The Wood Awards, which recognise excellence in the use of timber in construction, interiors and furniture, this year attracted more than 160 entries across its six categories.

The winners will receive trophies in carved by sculptor Ray Winder in American hardwoods supplied by The American Hardwood Export Council and Rossi Hardwoods.
