Leaderflush Shapland has supplied 570 performance doorsets to the new £34m Kingsway Mental Hospital in Derby.

The doorsets were from the manufacturer’s Designer and Extended Performance ranges.

Leaderflush worked with project architects Gilling Dod and access control specialists Access 2 to meet anti-ligature requirements – a reduced ligature, battery-operated access control system, as well as a standard level handle version of the system.

Doorsets were specified to provide 60min fire resistance and for increased resistance to physical attack.
