A US branch has been opened by the Latvijas Finieris plywood company to sell kitchen and office furniture.
Latvijas Finieris North America Ltd, the company’s fifth foreign subsidiary, will take orders for goods which are then produced at the plants in Latvia. Various plywood goods are also expected to be sold in the future.
The company recorded profits of US$6.62m for the first six months of 2002, down 22.5% on the same period last year.
