James Latham plc has supplied UPM-Kymmene WISA-Spruce plywood for the Global Cities exhibition at the Tate Modern in London.

The plywood, which was supplied free of charge by Lathams, was used to create density models of 10 cities, including London, Istanbul, Mumbai and Mexico City, which were designed to explore the speed, diversity and density of each location, according to Tate Modern.

“I was extremely impressed with the final creations, they looked truly magnificent,” said Lathams chairman Peter Latham.

“Lathams is proud to have been able to offer support for an integral part of the exhibition and be involved in an exciting way to showcase Latham products in an innovative way.”

Global Cities, which closed on August 27, also focused on Los Angeles, Cairo, Johannesburg, São Paulo, Shanghai and Tokyo.
