A timber company has become the latest casualty of Zimbabwe’s land resettlement programme.

Border Timbers in Manicaland has had half of its 48,000ha timber estate earmarked for resettlement by ‘war veterans’ and supporters of Robert Mugabe.

The Z$1.2bn-turnover company exports rough sawn timber to South Africa, Botswana, Zambia and Mozambique. It also exports pine and board to Asia, Europe and Australia.
