The new facility, which will cost an estimated €100-150m, will produce chipboard, MDF, melamine products, lacquered HDF and MDF wall panels.

It is anticipated that this will grow Kronospan‘s capacity in Poland by 25% and create around 500 direct jobs.

Kronospan also has €25.6m plans for 10 new warehouses to serve as an interim hub for the company’s expanding production.

The company’s existing plant in Szczecinek manufactures MDF, chipboard, melamine-faced panels and HDF. Kronospan has invested more than US$1bn in its Polish business since 1989.
