Board producer Kronospan is looking to expand its activities by opening a new US$121m factory in central Europe.
Poland and the Czech Republic are reportedly being considered as locations for the factory, which could create up to 500 jobs. A decision will be taken before the end of the year.
Kronospan currently operates 18 plants in Europe and China.
