Kronospan has bought Turkish panel producer SFC Entegre Orman Urunleri Sanayi ve Ticaret AS based in Kastamonu.
SFC is a producer of medium/high density fibreboard, chipboard and melamine faced board for the Turkish market, with exports to the Middle East. SFC also produces resin and formaldehyde for its own board production via its wholly owned subsidiary Baks Bati Kimya AS, which is included in this transaction.
This investment does not include Dortek, a producer of doors in Turkey, which was previously partly owned by SFC.
The existing management of SFC led by Kerem Hasan Ceritoglu will continue to manage SFC. The management is working with Kronospan on opportunities to further develop the business.
The representative office of Kronospan in Istanbul will be transferred into a new Turkish Company to further strengthen Kronospan’s interests in this region.
