Germany-based Pyrus Panels produces a board core sandwich structure comprising a wood fibre fleece in a wave shape. This design distributes forces three-dimensionally, preventing deformation.
Conventional top and bottom composite panel layers are added to complete the product.
Kronospan says adding LISOCORE expands its global product range, with the product added to the Kronospan new Global Collection 3.0.
Kronospan said LISOCORE presented a fresh perspective on lightweight construction, while retaining the versatility of conventional MDF boards to enable easy processing. Ultra-light plywoods, MDF or HDF can be used for the cover layers, depending on the application.
The panel is now available in all Kronodesign decors, in thicknesses ranging from 16 to 60mm.
The LISOCORE structure requires 50-70% less material, aligning with the growing importance of material efficiency, while also supported by certifications, including FSC and PEFC. The adhesive is 100 % formaldehyde-free.
Pyrus Panels GmbH, headquartered in Bad Aibling, is a 100% subsidiary of RETIS Holding GmbH and thus a sister company of Schattdecor SE.
Typical applications for LISOCORE-based panels are: trade fair and store construction, caravan fit-outs, yacht construction, stage and scenery construction, packaging and transport, plus furniture and interiors. The space inside the panels can be used as a service cavity – concealing cables,
LISOCORE gets directly sold in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, while in other European countries Pyrus Panels works together with sales partners.
