Krono Group Switzerland’s planned takeover of Hornitex‘s remaining three factories in Germany is expected to be finalised by March.
Discussions are continuing between the two companies about the acquisition of factories in Horn-Bad Meinberg, Duisberg and Beeskow.
The facilities produce a wide range of products including MFC chipboard, post-formed items and laminate flooring/panels.
The takeover, announced last December, has been largely welcomed by furniture manufacturers following Hornitex’s protracted period of insolvency.
Pfleiderer AG had previously expressed an interest in buying Hornitex.
