Old Forge Close in Trunch is a development of five bungalows and fives houses for the Broadland Housing Association.
Senior contracts manager Ian Neve said the TEK system offered design flexibility, fast build times and energy efficiency. “We completed the project on time, despite experiencing some delays early on in the project,” he added.
Solar panels were only used to generate hot water as the TEK system delivers airtightness values that reduce the need for space heating.
“Homes using TEK are so thermally efficient that central heating is rarely required,” said a spokesperson for Kingspan Century.
The TEK panels have a composition of 110mm of high performance rigid urethane insulation sandwiched between two sheets of OSB.
