The summer pavilion at London’s Serpentine Gallery was the setting for the launch of architectural journalist Ruth Slavid’s book Wood Architecture last week.

The pavilion, designed by Portuguese architects Alvaro Siza and Eduardo Souto de Moura, is sponsored by Finnforest, which supplied around 60m3 of Kerto-Q LVL for the project.

Finnforest made the pavilion available for the launch, which was sponsored by wood. for good.

The book, which shows that timber has an important role to play in contemporary architecture, includes 40 case studies from around the world.
