Kalmar Industries has received an order for 29 of its Edrive ESC straddle carriers from MSC Home Terminal in Antwerp.
The machines, which will handle a variety of goods including some timber and paper products, can stack three containers high. Three of the units will be equipped with Kalmar’s extendable twinlift 50-ton capacity spreaders.
MSC Home Terminal, a joint venture between Mediterranean Shipping Company and Hesse-Noord Natie NV, ordered the units after being impressed with their performance at Hesse-Noord Natie’s River Schelde terminals.
