Kährs Beech London multi-layered wood flooring has been laid throughout the new performing arts centre at St Swithun’s School, Winchester.
The one-strip 15mm flooring was laid by Southampton-based Floor Coverings Workshop Ltd in the 650m2 auditorium, small performance space, seating area and main stage.
The boards were fully bonded to the sub-floor to limit movement and were also used to create a 3.6m high stage surround, including pivoting panels to enclose the mainstage curtains.
