Influential environmental campaigner Jonathon Porritt, chairman of the Susaintable Development Commission, will be guest speaker at the UK’s first dedicated woodfuel expo – Ignition 09.
Mr Porritt, also programme director at Forum for the Future, will share his expert views at the March 11 event at The Sage, Gateshead.
“Whilst renewables, and heat from biomass in particular, are certainly on the agenda at present, the vast range of available information can be overwhelming and very fragmented,” said Mr Porritt. “It’s important to provide easy access to current information and aid understanding of this growing sector.”
