The Kirby-based company traded as a sawmill and moulding manufacturer, and employed 21 people, all of whom lost their jobs.

A spokesman for administrator Kroll’s said the business experienced cash flow difficulties from the insolvency of a key customer and increased cost of raw materials.

“Due to the ongoing financial losses being incurred it was not sustainable to keep the business trading,” the spokesman said.

John Parry Timber operated a sawmill in Knowsley. Among the equipment for sale is Wadkin and Robinson planers and moulders, Wadkin, CK, SCM and Altendorf saws, SCM and Wadkin planer/thicknessers, a Dominion spindle moulder and six forklifts and sideloaders.
