Joinery manufacturer JELD-WEN has achieved an “A” energy rating for its Stormsure Ultra window range.
The window’s successful testing to the British Fenestration Rating Council’s (BRFC) energy rating scheme follows work by JELD-WEN’s research and development team, which carried out all technical calculations, including glazing combinations, window sections and spacer bars.
JELD-WEN said the A rating would allow it to generate even more opportunities with specifiers and developers.
The BRFC A-G rating method takes into account U-values, solar heat gain and air leakage and enables the accurate comparison of windows under identical conditions.
