More than 200 JELD-WEN employees at Sheffield have completed the NVQ Level 2 (Project Management Office/Technical Services), giving them a foundation in the principles of Lean Manufacturing.
The programme consisted of three workshops entitled 5S of the Workplace; What is Manufacturing Excellence; and Problem-solving through Teamwork.
The courses taught delegates about lean manufacturing concepts in the joinery industry to make their work more efficient, faster, cleaner and safer.
