More than 300 people have been made redundant following the collapse of JDS Group Ltd.
The group was officially closed on March 11, with 309 people losing their jobs, including 87 from joinery manufacturer JDS Plaswood.
The Oxfordshire-based group, including Joinery Display Systems Ltd, JDS Architectural Panels Ltd and JDS Plaswood, went into administration on February 12 after experiencing “cash flow difficulties in recent months”, according to administrator Kroll.
Nearly 100 people were made redundant with the closure of Joinery Display Systems, 10 from JDS Architectural Panels and 114 from JDS Group.
Kroll said it was unable to complete a sale of the group as a going concern.
The business was started in 1984 as Joinery Display Systems before being rebranded as the JDS Group in 1989. In 2000, a new group structure was introduced “to give clear focus and growth opportunities to the different skillsets within the company”.
