He is the fifth member of the Southern family to chair the association. He succeeds Edward Bennett of Bennetts & Co (Grimsby) Ltd, who thanked all the members of the committee for their hard work and commitment to the cause during these tough times.
Mr Bennett added that he had enjoyed his two years in the chair and that in handing the badge of office to James Southern, the association was in good hands.
