Scottish I-joist producer James Jones & Sons Ltd has signed a partnership deal to export its JJI-Joist to mainland Europe for the first time.
The company’s timber systems division is partnering with Belgian timber merchant VC Wood in a deal which will see the UK-manufactured, FSC-certified JJI-Joist sold initially in Belgium, southern Holland and northern France.
“It’s the next step for a product which has become a market leader in the UK and achieved genuine industry recognition,” said Mark Tilston, business development manager for James Jones & Sons’ timber systems division.
As well as supplying the product, VC Wood is also using the product in its upcoming Passivhaus project.
