James Jones & Sons Ltd’s Timber Systems Division says its JJI-Joist is the first engineered wood product to gain a Type Approval from the National House-Building Council for amended Part E (Resistance to the Passage of Sound) of the Building Regulations.
The approval relates to four different floor configurations, which were tested to meet Part E requirements at Napier University‘s Building Performance Centre earlier this year.
