The partnership launch follows the recent updating of the UK Timber Frame Association’s SiteSafe guidance, which has extended the number and type of timber frame wall and floor build-ups that can be used to mitigate fire risk during the construction of large timber frame buildings in urban areas.

Woodbridge’s involvement is designed to ensure the market has access to IWS’s compliant flame retardant (FR) treated CLS, OSB, floor joists and FAST Board (magnesium oxide panel).

“IWS’s key focus is on developing solutions that are ahead of the market and it is crucial for us to develop strategic supply chain partnerships to deliver the end product,” said IWS director Doug Cullen.

“Woodbridge Timber offers great synergy as it has an established customer network and understands its customers’ requirements.”

Woodbridge’s Brian McVeigh said the new partnership would allow it to satisfy customers’ requirements and work with IWS to develop intelligent products.
