The International Wood Products Association (IWPA) has published the second edition of “Imported Wood – the guide to applications, sources and trends”.

Described as a “one-stop shop” for the wood products industry, the publication focuses on imported wood use in the US market, educates on sustainable forest management practices and emerging issues in developing countries and provides sources for wood products.

Sergio Korn, IWPA 2005-2006 president, said that as companies searched for new ways to satisfy customer expectations and improve their bottom lines, it was likely that imports would feature in some way.

The publication, which includes a reference section for hardwood and softwood lumber and lumber products, decking, flooring, plywood, veneer and other wood components, has been targeted to all key imported wood using product sectors.
