World of Wood 2008, the International Wood Products Association’s (IWPA’s) 52nd annual convention, is to take place in Orlando, Florida on March 5-7, 2008.
More than 250 delegates from across 20 countries attended World of Wood 2007, and organisers said that they plan to increase this figure for next year.
Importers, producers, wholesalers and service providers are among those in attendance at the IWPA convention, meeting to discuss the latest issues and developments in the imported hardwood and softwood markets involving tropical and non-tropical regions.
The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species, Ghana Forestry Commission, Rainforest Alliance, the Tropical Forest Foundation, World Wildlife Fund and Weyerhaeuser Company were among the groups in attendance at the 2007 convention.
