Organisers said "considerably more" international visitors attended this year, making up 70% of all visitors, with a clear rise in numbers from Asia, North America, eastern Europe and also the UK.

Companies exhibiting totalled 1,512, representing 62 countries, while exhibition space grew by 6%.

"Visitors were characterised by their high quality and an international mix," said Hubert Höglauer, Egger’s head of marketing. "The products we displayed were well received. The trade fair was a good opportunity for us to capture the industry mood, which overall was very positive."
